Cheng Hwa Seafood Porridge @ Nibong Tebal

It's good to have a group of friends off to travel together, sometimes it's not about the place but the people right? So the Four Leaf Clover (group name who consist of me, Calvin, Sock Keng and Jie Xiang) decided to have a short trip to Cameron Highlands early of the year; we were planning for Ipoh one day trip at first. Since all of them staying at main land, so I need to travel in dark (laugh!) to SK's house and we made up our mind to have sinfully supper as a kick-start for our foodie trip. What's Nibong Tebal best with? Despite of their weekend night market which I never been before, the next will be the Seafood Porridge I guess.
We reached Cheng Hwa Seafood Porridge around 11.30pm where people normally prepare themselves to bed already. But guess what, this is the dinner for Calvin, by this you will know how he get his gastric; dinner, dinnuh seriously?!
Photo while waiting for the food served. We were suppose to discuss our trip while waiting but we ended up talking crap throughout the supper session. We simply can't focus on the same thing for hours, we all trying to dig more stories, like the say: sharing is caring mah.
Seafood Porridge (4 pax) . RM62
Ta-dah! This is 4 pax portion of seafood porridge which consist only crab I think, and this one we added fish meat as well so that we wouldn't feel humdrum. You can actually order the porridge per person and choose the ingredients you like, they have crab, fish, prawn, minced pork meat and frog; unless you want them all then you can order a big one to share like us.
Another closer shot on the seafood porridge, I wonder why they want to put so much of veggies on top; we couldn't found the fish!
Look at the crab tongs, so fatty right? Frankly speaking, this crab is much fresher if compare with Tak Fok Seafood Restaurant's one; all their crabs are quite huge = a lot of crab meat! The chef help to clout the crab for us which is ease for us, the bad thing over here is the tiny crab shells might drop inside the porridge, I ate some of them but of course I did spat them out. I couldn't fully enjoyed the crab eating session with that, I need to check for the crab shells before I swallow the whole thing.
You guys wonder where is the fish? The brown thingy inside the bowl is that! They are not stingy on giving so much crabs for us (okay, we paid for it), until we almost finished the porridge, there were still have some crabs to grab. This called sinfully supper of the night.

It's the third day of CNY, the environment starting to fade away as some of the people might back to work on tomorrow; I still have time to play around as I took leave for days, I believe that I'll be extremely blue on next week when I facing a mountain of work.
Just a short update and sweet-tooth is a must during CNY period.

Hello my dearies, it's the time for Chinese now. I think most of the people are busy-ing with the preparation for CNY reunion dinner, so am I. Yet, I snatch a moment of leisure to update my bloggie first in case my readers have nothing to read with (I think too much? Laugh!). Anyway, there are plenty of posts awaiting to be posted up, please be patient and I have some to-do-items on hand which I'm still procrastinating until now. I should finished them off during this CNY break; last but not least, Happy Chinese New Year to you!
Ps: After-since the technology been evolved, people who easily access to FB, Whatsapp, Line, Viber, WeChat and etc, do you still receive slow but warm wishes from friends? Yes, I did and I sent some as well. The best CNY wishes award (for now) goes to my trainee, Lindsey; received her postcard all the way from Taiwan, big love ♥. HUAT AH!

Tak Fok Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant @ Kepong

Yeah, the KL posts still unfinished until now, I think this would be the last one, don't feel to bomb you guys with old posts. I felt lucky as I still got chance to try out the crab at Tak Fok Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant, I still thought I never tried this restaurant before we went there. Once I reached there, and saw the restaurant, I remembered the first time I was here with Seow Woon and her family members before we start our uni life. Didn't manage to take the restaurant's photo, it was raining cat and dog after we done our meal there. So enjoy the food photos below and go try it out eventho the service not that good; they won't bother you much after you placed your order, they served the food quite fast, but after that if you need to add something more, you need to wait them. Sigh
Fuzhou Tofu . RM18
First we had their signature Fuzhou Tofu, most people will come over to order this, it's really good if you dip these with the chili sauce that come together with this dish. I think with this only, I also can finish my plate of rice, that's so yummy.
Stir Fried Four Types of Beans with Belacan . RM18
If you want to simplify the name, this dish is Four Heavenly Kings (Sei Dai Tin Wong in Cantonese), which consists of four types of veggies and stir fried with belacan and some minced meat. From the photo you can see they put the brinjal to replace petai (scientific name is Parka Speciosa); this is a big NO for me, I wish to have petai more than brinjal here!
Curry Coconut Prawns . RM26
Oops, photo didn't even show you how the prawn looks like, failed photo! Giggle. They placed all the prawns, veggies, curry and etc inside a huge coconut shell, imagine how big is the coconut if you need to stuff all this things inside. Like the curry taste, really good!
Fried Steamed Bread (12 pieces) . RM7.20
At first, we only ordered one plate (6 pieces), it was not enough for us, that's why we ordered another plate to cure our greediness. Look at the shinning fried steamed bread, it seems hard but when you bite you, it's soft inside and it's best to dip with the crab sauce that I'm gonna introduce later. Another signature in Tak Fok Restaurant.
Sour and Chili Crabs. RM28
This is it! Dip the steamed bread with this sour and chili sauce, it will be the perfect match! There are many types of crab cooking method for you to choose, pick the one you like. You will be surprised that the price for crab dishes are somehow cheaper than other dishes, it's the highlight for Tak Fok Restaurant which served cheapest crabs in town. This is why I love it so much!
Salted Eggs Fried Crabs . RM28
My all time favourite, you can taste the crab and salted eggs in one time; I still remember the first time I tried this, and it surprised me, and so I ordered it again. I always like to finish the salted egg first before I start to chew the crab meat, not even let go one single pieces of salted egg. Laugh! When we talk about crab eating,  I never care about my image, the best taste to eat crab is by using your hand as it's really fingers licking good dish! Drooling while writing this post. Haha.

Say Hi to Zoo Negara!

When is your last time to visit zoo? My last time was like years ago, so we took this opportunity to visit Zoo Negara but too bad there is renovation on-going to enlarge the zoo, we got no fate with some of the animals; roar roar, where is my bear? Took plenty of photos inside the zoo, but I only chose some to share here, I think you all should know how the animals look like bah. BTW, if you want to know more about our Zoo Negara, please visit to their site first, all the rate and feeding time are stated inside the page.
We used half day to finish the area, no kidding, I can't felt my legs after the tour, seriously I felt like doing the  whole weeks walking in one day. I'll let all the photos do the talking part (in fact it's quite weird to intro the animal one by one isn't it?), enjoy!
Who you think of when you see a giraffe? Kwang Soo from Running Man! I think I need to catch up Running Man, I stopped for months, too many episodes to catch up tho. Someone please help me to kill all the lazy bugs in me. That's the post, good night!
