We were in Greece

Ever heard about Santorini this beautiful place? It will always be my dream and I heart the color they carry, mostly of the buildings are in blue and white that make the place seems so pure. During the day when Penang having small earth quake, I were out with Tien and Theng for dinner, longing for times to have trio gathering like this, and we were at Santorini
Thought to step inside the cafe whenever I pass by, until now this was the first time I doing so, it wasn't too late yet, right?
Chose a place where we were separated from others, so we can have our own space for the following hours. Laugh. Like the place where we can have our shoes off, sit on the floor and with their pillow supply, we can have pillow talk as well.
Just pull the bell whenever you need them, but we never use this on the day.
Add only RM5 on any western main course, you'll get yourselves soup, drink and dessert. Photo show our coffee dance and tea dance.
Lemon Fish Chop . RM10.90
Oat Chicken Chop . RM11.90
Her-Mus-Ney Chicken Chop . RM11.90
Wonder Box . RM6
A surprise for Theng for her coming birthday, thanks to the shop owner that helped us to give her a surprise.
We treated there as our home, talked, laughed, and did many silly things over there; that's us! It's really awesome to have you guys in my life. Oops, the owner actually upload our photo at here as well. Blush!

Khoo Kongsi

A back-dated post about my visit to Khoo Kongsi after our short trip to the north; Shaun is one of the offspring of Khoo, with a little trick, I also got myself a free entry pass. Laugh. We only need to pay for Pok, RM10 per person, he got souvenirs from them as well.
The sky was turning dark once we stepped on this land, still, we enjoy this historic site, read their stories with calmness heart.
Random shooting on their bystreet, it would be better if the motorcycle is out from there.
Photo of the day. Sooner or later, Shaun's name will be in the temple once he completed his bachelor study, their tradition, why Chong family don't have their own Kongsi over here? Laugh

First time to try Kopi Luwak, a expensive coffee; yet I'm not really into it.

To the North

Like what people always say: Every time plan couldn't keep up with changes; we were planning just to have a day trip in Penang Island, ended up we were going to the North, for the food and for the mother nature. I was accompanied by Shaun and Pok, my new friend.
Stopped by highway and took the photo, the sky was fine and I was glad to join them for the trip.
Alor Setar, it is somewhere near the town.
We had Thai food and coconut juice are the perfect match, they had some beer too.
Went to plantation for a visit, I felt like I was in the desert, as the sky was dry; we found castor seeds there, which is poisonous.
Random snap at the back yard.
It's good to back to natural sometimes, throw all the city life at my back, no worry.

. . . . . . . . . .

I hope for better.

Hoot Hoot!

Suppose to get back my warm house after high tea at Amelia Cafe, I blurted out some words and like a random decision, we went to Penang Hill just to pay a visit to the newly opened Owl Museum. The sky started to turn grey when we reached on top.
Paid RM10 for the entrance fee and we got ourselves a souvenir from them, of course, with an owl; as it is all about owl in this place.
Love the workstation where you can find wood crumbs on the table, bit by bit the woodcarver make their masterpiece in shape.
Tool that needed to have a perfect carve.
The lamp stand out in the middle of the space as it isn't related to owl, it looks like a tree with fireflies flying on the top. Jungle feel.
I like this the most: The Royal Owl, they are unsaleable.
Here they have a kids corner where you can find little chair, fluffy owlies and animals to play around. It's 'owl'some!
When you walked through the end, you can get some owl stuffs over here if you find any, rings, necklaces, pouches, accessories, and etc.
Fluffy owls and clothes are available too!
The weather was good and we saw a double rainbow, my first time to see it, I just realized about it when I view my photos that time.
Piece of cloth that I grab from Owl Museum, it's definitely a love one, Hoot!

Truly love my day!

Sticky yet Arty-Crafty Day

It was a sticky Saturday where at first I felt to pass my day at home with some good reads or drama; ended up I decided to have something better, met up with babe Jhu which we seldom have chance to get one-to-one hang out. Kind of excited to get out with her as we both have similar taste and hobbies, it's not hard to find a topic and a tiny thing enough to make us laugh for whole day.
After walked for few rounds, we managed to find this little hidden cafe at Armenian Street, Amelia Cafe. It was not hard to locate the cafe, it is just right next to Cheah Kongsi; we were welcomed by a kingdom of green plants, too bad their shop-sign is kind of blocked by those plants. I bet you guys wouldn't realize this is actually a cafe, when by chance you walk by this area.
Some enchanting hand painted sign boards and drawings also hanging outside the cafe; the talented owners surely have magic hands.
Photos taken when I first walked in the cafe, it's kind of rustic feel, and their concept is clear for going green which means recycling.
The interior is decorated with refurbished stuffs like glass bottles and hand painted wood crafts; have a peek on their little kitchen where great food comes from. Photography is prohibited in the cafe, seriously.
I like their wall, they purposely shown some of the bricks to give you an old feel, it was like dragging me back to old time. Clock is a like!
That's the glass bottle I talked about, and they make the cafe feel so comfy and zakka with all the plants they placed inside.
Painted wood crafts on wall, the first one caught my sight.
That's another two wood crafts that hang in front of our table, I hope to paint like the owner.
They never waste a cardboard to blend it into their cafe element; the handmade menu with cute drawing is awesome.
We were kind of busy to snap photos while waiting for food. They even drew a poached egg on table, each table get different design.
Jhu's Orange Mint (RM8) on the left and my Banana in Plum Lassi (RM12) on the right.
Bacon, Zucchini, Cream Cheese 'n' Rocket Bagel . RM18
The bagel is hard to cut, and it's too sackful with all the ingredients together; yet the taste is so great and I couldn't forget about it.
Cinnamon 'n' Chocolate Cream Pot . RM12
When I saw owner served this up, I was quite worry it's too sweet for me; chef is good in balance the taste of chocolate and cinnamon.
Love they way where cups are hanging on the cupboard; the place is small but it never looks crowded with all the stuffs they have.
Snapping on our shoes before we went off to somewhere awesome, stay tuned for the post! Ciao~
