Sticky yet Arty-Crafty Day

It was a sticky Saturday where at first I felt to pass my day at home with some good reads or drama; ended up I decided to have something better, met up with babe Jhu which we seldom have chance to get one-to-one hang out. Kind of excited to get out with her as we both have similar taste and hobbies, it's not hard to find a topic and a tiny thing enough to make us laugh for whole day.
After walked for few rounds, we managed to find this little hidden cafe at Armenian Street, Amelia Cafe. It was not hard to locate the cafe, it is just right next to Cheah Kongsi; we were welcomed by a kingdom of green plants, too bad their shop-sign is kind of blocked by those plants. I bet you guys wouldn't realize this is actually a cafe, when by chance you walk by this area.
Some enchanting hand painted sign boards and drawings also hanging outside the cafe; the talented owners surely have magic hands.
Photos taken when I first walked in the cafe, it's kind of rustic feel, and their concept is clear for going green which means recycling.
The interior is decorated with refurbished stuffs like glass bottles and hand painted wood crafts; have a peek on their little kitchen where great food comes from. Photography is prohibited in the cafe, seriously.
I like their wall, they purposely shown some of the bricks to give you an old feel, it was like dragging me back to old time. Clock is a like!
That's the glass bottle I talked about, and they make the cafe feel so comfy and zakka with all the plants they placed inside.
Painted wood crafts on wall, the first one caught my sight.
That's another two wood crafts that hang in front of our table, I hope to paint like the owner.
They never waste a cardboard to blend it into their cafe element; the handmade menu with cute drawing is awesome.
We were kind of busy to snap photos while waiting for food. They even drew a poached egg on table, each table get different design.
Jhu's Orange Mint (RM8) on the left and my Banana in Plum Lassi (RM12) on the right.
Bacon, Zucchini, Cream Cheese 'n' Rocket Bagel . RM18
The bagel is hard to cut, and it's too sackful with all the ingredients together; yet the taste is so great and I couldn't forget about it.
Cinnamon 'n' Chocolate Cream Pot . RM12
When I saw owner served this up, I was quite worry it's too sweet for me; chef is good in balance the taste of chocolate and cinnamon.
Love they way where cups are hanging on the cupboard; the place is small but it never looks crowded with all the stuffs they have.
Snapping on our shoes before we went off to somewhere awesome, stay tuned for the post! Ciao~

Warm and Cozy

Sometimes, you'll just get pressure from work, from thing around you; despite all that, it didn't stop me from waking up early in the morning on my non-working day, just to have some jogging section with my mom. Reached youth park and botanical garden (yeah, we went two places in a row) quite early, and I was so lucky to find myself a parking lot. Laugh. We should have more next time.
Street Dance 2 is in theater, how can I not watch this? Before the movie, we went to dine in Winter Warmers, nowadays quite a lot of my friends went to this place for their meal, yet I didn't see any promotion they are up to.
Like this photo with no reason, it is just too vintage and cozy; always like their elongated menu book and the ribbon that tied them up.
We were quite early for dinner, not much customers in the restaurant, I like the feeling with no people squeezing in a same space with me, sometimes. Laugh
Jasmine Paradise . RM7.90
Premium green tea with the jasmine bud that they put in cup creates a perfect blend which is so elegant and tasty.
Jasmine Green Tea Latte . RM9.90
Same like the former one, the jasmine fragrance mix well with the rich creamy milk. Jasmine lover, we are!
Seafood Spaghetti . RM18.90
Fettuccine Carbonara . RM14.90
Both of them look the same, the only different was the ingredients and type of pasta I guess. If you really taste them both, you will realize their taste are different as well, I prefer Fettuccine Carbonara here.

No joke!

Early morning when I woke up in the morning and my mom made me two red boiled eggs, I guess you guys should know what it means.
Like usual, we already set Sunday as our family day and we went to Queensbay Mall to have a walk before dine in Canton-i
The combination of pink and white is quite sharp; I used to have a uniform with these color when I was a perfume promoter. Laugh
Whenever I see this design, I will think of Delicious; anyway, birdcage is also a signature in Hong Kong, their hobby!
Titbits . RM2
Assorted Roast Meat, Beancurd, Sausage, Egg with Rice . RM14.80
Honey-Glazed BBQ Pork, Vegetables and Egg with Rice . RM13.80
RM1 Chicken (一蚊鸡)
This dish was a special offer of the day, after we placed our order and the waiter ask us to try on this, and it only cost us RM1, no joke! The condition is you cannot grab it home if you couldn't finish it all in the restaurant. Fair enough.

He made my day

Hang out with Joe and while he was enjoying his food, I was having fun with a baby boy besides our table; I like to see little angel's smile and listen to their laughter. Before I left the place, I asked permission to take photo with him, his parents so nice and said yes! Hooray
Showed him the photo, after a few seconds, he pointed on the screen and laughed; I guess he was happy to see his own photo. Cute!

His mother said: He like to lay his eyes on pretty girls. Am I?

Of Polka Dots and Strips

Bought a voucher from Everyday month ago and finally me and Pei Wen used it on this Friday night. Off to The Cruises Steak House after doll ourselves up; this is really a TGIF for Pei Wen, she said. The voucher is only RM39.90 for 2 persons, worth until drop!
The restaurant is one of the shop in Logan Heritage, a food and leisure center in George Town; a good place to hang out at Bishop Street.
Like what you can see from the interior and wall decors, it's all about Jazz in the restaurant which I heart so much about it.
Live music unplugged bands are available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night, this is why we made the date on Friday as well; big applause to the girl when she sang Rolling in the Deep by Adele, all the diners did clap for her when she finished the song.
It's not hard to find flower decors in the restaurant, each table they will placed small little flower as well.
I should have take more interior photos that night; I might visit another time? Since we got the 15% offer voucher on our next visit.
Sun Tea . RM12.90
It's small but enough for 2 persons, we made fun on it: cheers before the drink and one shot with that tiny cup.
Homemade Mushroom Soup . RM5.90
Salmon Steak . RM19.80
Lamb Chop with black pepper sauce . RM19.90
Banana Split . RM6.90
Notice something in the photo? I wore polka dots and she wore strips; great isn't it? I seem so huge beside her, oh my god! Not really have time to have good shot in the restaurant, we were rushed for our night movie, Love
