I'm soaring

Didn't work on Friday, still I woke up early in the morning, to get myself a free breakfast. Laugh. Went to McDonald's with Poh Khoon when the sky was still dark, and waited the little babe, Ee Kee to show up; she reached and brought the sun with her, for us.

We were then fetched her to airport, for her friend's wedding dinner. Here's the new face of Penang Airport, still under renovation and not much different for the inner part. Love the sound where the plane fly-off in the sky; it gives me a feel to getaway, which I need one.

It's in me

Hi! I had enough food posts until now, more posts to come yet still related to great food in the island; toss the food aside and let's talk about something different for a moment. I'm a big fans of Starbucks, or no? Get influenced by someone else, two years ago; I think I'm now addicted more than he does now. Laugh. Whenever I want to have chit-chat or gathering, Starbucks would be my choice now.

Oh gosh! Starbucks planner is in the house. In love with the box more where the gold words imprint on the black box.
I guess I will only keep this planner for myself, too pretty for me to write on it. My handwriting will only spoil it, or make it prettier?

Thousand years, and more, and nothing...

Eat-all-you-can!

Dinner with Joe and his friends; first they planned to dine at Full House but ended up at Yea, Times Square Penang. I'm sure you guys are familiar with the Tao, a fancy restaurant that offer all-you-can-eat buffet; and now with the management of Tao, they opened Yea Japanese BBQ & Shabu Shabu restaurant. Different with other restaurants, Yea use crystal stone to grilled the seafood so you wouldn't get charred BBQ-burnt on your food; it's something new and healthy to us.

Look at the sign, and it's inspired by the shape of scallop; look alike no? The ambiance of the restaurant is simply amazing and they chipped in a huge amount on renovation and interior design. Regretted I didn't took much of the photos during the night.

It's so Japanese feel once you step in the restaurant and I simply like the design of chandelier.
They placed lots of origami style animal statue in the restaurant, heart them so much.
As we were quite late for the dinner, I didn't have time to shot on food, just share some over here. They have huge freezer which houses all the great stuff in raw, all can be cooked using either BBQ style or shabu-shabu style. We took quite a lot and grilled all the raw by our own, it was fun and yummy at the same time. They also provide plenty of choices for shabu-shabu; I took abalone slices, a lot!
Are you drooling now? Laugh
We were bloated after the staple food, still we grabbed for more dessert and fruits; and they do have chocolate fondue and ice cream corner. All with only RM48++ (adults) and RM24++ (children), what you eat will gonna worth this price; let's have another round!

Live and Let Live

Went to temple early in the morning where we placed my grandparents' ancestral tablet, a day before the end of Chinese New Year. I found the serenity whenever I stepped into a temple, might be influenced by the sutra they played; somehow I like this kind of feeling.

Lots of Herb of Floppers place in the temple; when I was still a kids, I like this plant which shows the vitality, strongly.
Feel the peace? I miss them. Smile

The storm going to hit me soon.

A Journey of Indulgence

Second round on the same day, was out with Daniel for dinner and movie; can it counted as movie marathon although with different people? Laugh. Watched Haywire but it's quite boring, I nearly felt asleep in the theater. After longing for 3 years, I had fulfilled my promise; went to Haagen-Dazs together with him. Long waited he said.

Dessert time after our dinner.
Love their pinkish menu, it makes people drooling once we place our sight on the cover.
Banana Split . RM29
Three scoops of ice cream served with caramel banana, strawberries and crispy cookie. You can choose the flavor of ice cream, my first choice always goes to Rum Raisin, my all-time favorite! Along, we chose Macadamia Nut ice cream and Strawberry flavor. Yum!
