Pik Nik anyone?



Time flies and it's June now, my stress accompanied me to get through my May, eventually it will continue to follow me as long as it could. Back-dated post where I had high tea session at Pik Nik and got my very first Starbucks tee, jumping up and down
The sky looked dark yet it's still shining with hot sun. Like their signboard that has a classic feel for me.
Thought that there wouldn't have much people during that hours, yet hardly to get ourselves a seat proved that I was wrong. The specialty of Pik Nik is their hanging lanterns are made up from basket and dustbin. They actually did hand painting on their wall, nice! 
Their menus are kind of simple, printed paper that put on the clipboard; menu for dishes and beverages are separate.

Waffle Salmon . RM12
Most of the people who come over will definitely order this, their signature; waffle topped with scramble egg, smoked salmon and cheese. I have no idea how they have this creative idea to put up all the things that turn up very delicious, gonna go and grab it again.
Cheeky Roll . RM14
Ordered Salmon Roll at first, but they said that salmon was out of stock, might due to high order of Waffle Salmon. They stuffed chicken thigh meat, mushroom and cheese in the pastry roll, it's just okay, a good try but it's too simple and taste like chicken pie.
Cheesy Mushroom Platter . RM10
I'll say that I'm a mushroom lover, how could I resist not to order this? Little cheese bake mushrooms look cute and their taste is great!
A basket of napkin papers was given while we enjoyed our dishes; peep the hanging lantern at the back. Laugh
Small antique metal box was given to us when we asked for bill, a unique way to collect money indeed. 
View from my seat, big pillows are provided so that you can have your seat comfortably, that's how I spent my Sunday, two weeks ago.

Queen-like



Always impressed by the design and idyllic style of Aseana Cafe & Bar, I paid my visit last Friday after dated with Johnny Depp in The Dark Shadow; I expected to have more climax in the movie. Spotted some newly opened cafe in Straits Quay too!
It's located right besides Starbucks, you'll see the restaurant after get through the main entrance.
If there are seats for me to choose, I always go for sofa with pillows; I make myself at home everywhere, laugh! It's a good thing.
Oil-painted drawing hanging on the wall, you can find cuppa in each of those drawings, that's what we are searching for in coffee house.
That's the comfy part that I love, was busy taking beautiful photos instead of talking with my friends, like what I always do?
Decor on the long table that can fit big group; heart those flowers and petals in the grass, I thought of Beauty and the Beast, do you?
Wondering why my blog will half-shifted to become food blog, I like to have more posts about me, just food is part of me too, smile
Iced Cappucino . RM11
A shot of espresso poured over ice and chilled frothy milk, like the way they finished it with a dusting of chocolate.
Cafe Latte . RM11.50
A single shot of espresso infusion topped up with gently steamed milk and finished with a distinct 'lid' of froth. 
Potato Wedges . RM8
Big bowl of chunky chips served with sour cream and Thai sauce; I thought it was mayonnaise at first, how sad it's just cream.

So called the purple house



Another bowling day, the different for this time was I did not played with colleagues but with Yeam; I'm improving day by day! Laugh
After the play, we hunted for our lunch, the one I used to say it's a purple house - de Title Dining Cabin located at Lorong Selamat. 
If you know me well, the favorite color of mine is purple, pastel one; the interior is all with light purple, just like its exterior. Normally they will closed the first storey section where you could reserve it for some function or party, unless there is a huge crowd.
Posters regarding the on-going promotions filled on the empty walls, it was Friday, Ladies Day and I got myself unlimited buffet if I already have a main course with me, without extra pay for RM5. 
The rainbow color decor in the shop will be seen when you moving on to the buffet corner.
A lot of nice postcards and press cutting pasted on the wall; to be your read while you picking on the dessert, jelly and ice-cream.
You will think of lavender when people talk about purple color, that's why they use the dummy lavender for decoration as well. 
There are 2 choices of the soup, Tomato Cream Soup and Mushroom soup, surely I chose for the latter one to fit my main course.
Other that garlic bread, they have pieces of toast, some might not like the garlic taste; they are good to please all type of customers.
Grilled Boneless Chicken Drum with Romesco Sauce . RM22.90
Chicken is well marinated and grilled, served with baked potato wedges, mushroom config and gokien chips, wine is mixed in the sauce.
Spaghetti Seafood Marinara . RM25.90
Differ with others seafood pasta that only served small amount of seafood, here they served quite a number of fresh king prawns, scallops and calamaris! Spaghetti is cooked in a riched homemade tomato concasse which also mixed with wine, to boost the taste.
