Oh! Me love

Spent my lazy Sunday noon time with my sister before she headed back to her home, we finally print our footsteps  inside the Boutique Bystroe while we always drove through the cafe for quite some time. Implied with its name, upstairs they do have a boutique for ladies to shop-away; at the same time they serve a great selection of drinks and homemade Italian food.
While you thinking to have a book of menu to flip on, you actually get a tray of menu to place your order. Sound special to you? Love the way they put the lists of pastries/cakes and drinks on the sushi mat; the lady is definitely affability and it's comfy to talk with her.
Magazines and a little glass that full of bookmarks were placed on every table, the former one is for you to kill your boredom while the latter is for you to grab them home.
They have two designs of bookmark, we grab one of them as souvenir, laugh; it's really a good way to make people remember them.
Photo frames are hanging on the wall, arbitrary, which in turn make a good ornament. Can I make it as photo of the day? Laugh
While waiting for your food to serve, you can find some good reads on their bookshelf, so called "The Library Man" section. Imagine that if you come here during lazy weekends, just to enjoy the reads with a cuppa over the waves of easy rhythm, gosh, it's so ease! Not only books, they do decorate the section with polaroid, my love and vintage matchboxes.
If you prefer something joyful, they also provide board games and card games next to The Library Man section. Now, choose and play!
Ever think to use your own designed jar at your home, or as a gift for your special one? Boutique Bystroe offers bottle painting that cost you RM5; they will help to bake your jar for 25-40 minutes once you done your arts on the jar, you can then bring them home.
Their masterpieces which filling with Orange Juice and Strawberry Limau Juice; owh, I were frown because  the coming of weekdays.
Wild mushroom soup with Baguette . RM7.90
Fettucini mushroom carbonara  (RM16.90). The portion is quite huge for a small eater like my sister.
Asparagus cream pasta with bacon (RM15.90). My first time to try pasta with asparagus sauce, it was not bad.
It's time for the Boutique which located on the upstairs, there are little ornaments placed along the stairs to the top. Spotted a few dresses and accessories but I hold my itchy heart, I still have some at home which I haven't wore before.
Even a small tiny thing at the corner is worth to take photo with, a habit that I couldn't stop myself. Drop a comment for them before we left the cafe, I might have a next visit over there? Who knows.

Heavenly food

Going to post a back-dated post, where it was the first time I don't have Monday blue since I start to work; not working for the day! Went to watch Seefood before we hunt for great food; a Malaysia produced movie, quite good and it's good to have it on the day.

Look familiar? Yeah, we were at Tao for our dinner!
We reached there before they started to operate for dinner session, to avoid the traffic jam. Scroll if you want to drool on your screen.
The only sushi we took for the dinner, the rest were ordered something more expensive.
Motoyaki  Scallop
Kaki Hiroyaki
Abalone Slice
Salmon Teriyaki
Sashimi Moriawase
These is only quarter of the photos, I was so busy to snap photos and no time for me to eat; at the end I surrendered and only focus on my food. Laugh. For all the great food, it cost RM50++ per pax.

Touch and Sing

Didn't open my lappie for 2 days and yet I'm still survive! Laugh. Lot of pending posts, ended up I decided just to write a post; my laziness won again, but it's better than nothing right? Went to RedBox with my sis during our weekend, and definitely we want more!

Now, you no more using a remote control to pick up your songs, but just choose them from screen, that's so called touch screen. It's quite convenient, I'm still prefer the old one tho, spent some times at first because we don't really know how to function it.

Will only have 2 days for this week. Sigh

Never wait, never will

Went to Bed to have some drink while waiting our clock to tick on twelve, like usual, we talked and waited the time to pass. Laugh
What we conclude on the night: time flies and never wait for us.
Happy birthday to you, Ling Ling. Oops, it shouldn't be me on the center but birthday girl.

Teleport to old time

As I said in previous post, small little cafe are slowly mushrooming around the Muntri Street area; with some friends of mine, we went to little cafe that smack at the junction of Love Lane and Muntri Street, by the name of Behind 50. We went there to have dinner before Ling Ling's big day, after our work. Because we were already late, so I didn't took much of photos of the cafe, only some of it; will go for another time some day. We did had fun in the cafe, as the boss is so nice and make fun with us; after some chit-chat with him, we knew that the name of the cafe is aptly named Behind 50 due to it's location behind the building '50'.

When we had our seats, the girl gave us some story books instead of the menu; but I knew what we have inside the book. Laugh
You will find it's interesting as the menu comes inside a book; not just any book, a classic book that I used to read when I was a kid.
They have nice photo on the wall as deco, each of these photos tell us a story of Penang; mostly of them are lomo-fy to get the old feel.
Old typewriter.
The whole place is decorated with very rustic feeling, mostly with their own creative design to ensure the cafe is heritage enough.
Peep the classic player; there is another area I wish to snap but people were having their dinner there, not good to disturb.
Stuffs and items from the 60's to 80's, did they bring you back to the old time? I still have the card game in my house! Smile
Their mushroom soup is very creamy and thick, which I like it so much! We just need to add another RM8 to our main course to get the set meal, together with mushroom soup, garlic bread, drink and dessert. Or you can choose from their set meal of the day.
Garlic bread that comes with mushroom soup; they are not in French loaf but in toast. Special no?
Wei Seong's Chicken Chop, he was the only one who order this while all of us ordered pasta.
Seafood Carbonara.
Seafood Bolognese.
Us on the night, it was really a great dinner with them and we couldn't stop ourselves from laughing on tiny matter. To wait for the arrival of Ling Ling's big day, we were then change to another place to have drinks. Stay tuned.
