It's time for Ramen

April, my daddy's month, as well as mine; like our past years, we always celebrate our big day together since it's only 5 days apart.
We, family yet without my brother-in-law went to Paragon for good food; we were so lucky to find ourselves a good parking lot, maybe the time was still early when we reached the place. Paragon was actually having a function, some sort like dancing in a group, Penang is always happening, love it.
That's where we were heading for, Goku Raku Ramen; too bad I didn't make a reservation before that, and it was full house that time. We supposed need to wait for another 45 minutes to get our turn, ended up they let us jump the queue and get us in, lucky no?
Photo taken while waiting them to clean table for us. Goku Raku Ramen has gained its good reputation via outlet at Mid Valley before coming in Penang, they name themselves as "The Ramen Heaven" because they serve the best broths for Ramen, thick and creamy.
The menu, wood-like yet it's not handy enough; at the end of menu, they even put some instruction how you should enjoy the ramen.
A little surprise from them, when they placed your order, they will bring a temporary receipt for you, with a cutie clip on top! Lovely!
They decorated the shop with this, fake plant, on our seat and also the wall. Not much seats are provided, as the restaurant is not huge.
The open-air kitchen with all-white concept; these make the environment seems steamy as the gas flow out from the kitchen to outside.
Every table will have wood basket to placed all the mess kits and napkins.
Random snap on the basket and the logo of Goku Raku Ramen.
Let's start with the food now! Until end of April, they are actually having a promotion, each Large size Ramen are giving 50% off.
The signature: Goku Raku Ramen . RM18.90 (small); RM23.90 (large)
The Goku Raku broth noodles are topped with Char Siew, flavored egg, bamboo shoots, leeks, onion and seaweed. With these, they named this as The Ramen Haven, worth to try tho! The flavored egg is awesome with its velvety yolk.
Jantama Ramen . RM14.90 (small); RM18.90 (large)
Noodles in Goku Raku sauce topped with shredded Char Siew, Soft boiled-egg, leeks, spring onions and chopped chicken. They are good in cooking good egg which all are marinated with special sauce.
Goku Raku Miso Ramen . RM19.90 (small); RM24.90 (large)
Miso Goku Raku broth noodles topped with cabbage, minced pork, flavored egg and fragrant garlic oil. I must admit that the noodle are the best Ramen I'd ever tasted, I'm not really into Ramen if compare to Udon, yet this noodle type ramen changes my mind.
Flower decoration near the counter, the restaurant is in red and yellow, just like the color in their logo.
Four of us ordered large size ramen, as the price was even cheaper than the small size one, and the portion for the large one is only 150g noodle. Had some chit chat with the cashier while waiting they settle my bills, nice to talk with friendly him.

Happy birthday to my dad, and soon to myself.

Weekly activity

Another bowling session with my colleagues, they are a little bit obsess with this I guess; so-called our company activity, every week.
We were the first group heated up Penang bowl with our laughter and joy. I am playing with a heavier ball which come out quite okay.
Like usual, lunch at New Work Park after the play, and met with these two little kids having fun at play ground, while their mothers did their talking. Feel the energetic from them, good isn't it?

We again

Another back-dated post from last Friday, met with my Zoo Is Cute gang, where I wore my new piece of cloth! Owlsome. Felt like we never meet for quite some times, in fact every two months we might have gathering, although not all of us are free to join.
Esther and Siew Ee were not in the photo, they insisted; that's why we only got fivesome photo for the night.
Funny photo, but they all love it. I wish to see all members on the next gathering, pray hard. Will stop right here, till then.

We were in Greece

Ever heard about Santorini this beautiful place? It will always be my dream and I heart the color they carry, mostly of the buildings are in blue and white that make the place seems so pure. During the day when Penang having small earth quake, I were out with Tien and Theng for dinner, longing for times to have trio gathering like this, and we were at Santorini
Thought to step inside the cafe whenever I pass by, until now this was the first time I doing so, it wasn't too late yet, right?
Chose a place where we were separated from others, so we can have our own space for the following hours. Laugh. Like the place where we can have our shoes off, sit on the floor and with their pillow supply, we can have pillow talk as well.
Just pull the bell whenever you need them, but we never use this on the day.
Add only RM5 on any western main course, you'll get yourselves soup, drink and dessert. Photo show our coffee dance and tea dance.
Lemon Fish Chop . RM10.90
Oat Chicken Chop . RM11.90
Her-Mus-Ney Chicken Chop . RM11.90
Wonder Box . RM6
A surprise for Theng for her coming birthday, thanks to the shop owner that helped us to give her a surprise.
We treated there as our home, talked, laughed, and did many silly things over there; that's us! It's really awesome to have you guys in my life. Oops, the owner actually upload our photo at here as well. Blush!

Khoo Kongsi

A back-dated post about my visit to Khoo Kongsi after our short trip to the north; Shaun is one of the offspring of Khoo, with a little trick, I also got myself a free entry pass. Laugh. We only need to pay for Pok, RM10 per person, he got souvenirs from them as well.
The sky was turning dark once we stepped on this land, still, we enjoy this historic site, read their stories with calmness heart.
Random shooting on their bystreet, it would be better if the motorcycle is out from there.
Photo of the day. Sooner or later, Shaun's name will be in the temple once he completed his bachelor study, their tradition, why Chong family don't have their own Kongsi over here? Laugh

First time to try Kopi Luwak, a expensive coffee; yet I'm not really into it.
