The best way to enjoy your day is with FOOD!

Oops, a week away from my blogger life and now I'm back, was lazy to online few days back. Enjoyed my jobless life, but I think I should start my new life after finish my last presentation. I love to start my day with toasts and half boiled eggs, the traditional breakfast of us.
So, I had them at a small coffee shop situated at a back lane along Campbell Street, the Toh Soon Cafe; it is the perfect place for breakfast and tea break. The uniqueness of their toasts is the preparation method by using a super cold charcoal stove, it makes them taste good. I met the boss of Moon Tree 47 at there too. Planned to have high tea session with friends at Kopi Cine, but too bad they are closed because of some issue, so we changed it to Lighthouse Coffee at Bishop Street.
They prepared a board for coffee lovers to leave some words, I stuck my sticky note at there too, you might still can read it if they didn't put it down. Laugh. We were lucky to find us some seats in the crowd and placed our order at the counter, self service.
While the boys did their talking, I had fun snapping some photos there; the owner is so lovely to provide magazines for customers.
Hot Mocha.
Penne alla Carbonara.

The food came in small portion but they really taste good, I finished it within few minutes. Oops. I always enjoy my idle day with a cuppa of drink and book on hand. Boys were complained that Lighthouse Coffee should provide games for customers too, yet they had fun with my mobile games; I only got my mobile back when it ran out of battery.

The day I leave them

While people still suffer for their internship, here's come my last day in this company, one week lesser if compare to them; our lecturer knew it, and say okay! The day didn't went smoothly either, many things to settle with, were so busy and when the day nearly came to an end, I just had some spare time to take photos with lovely people there. Guess what, I gonna miss faces over there.
With workers: Salim, Baby Miyoko and 'Weng Eng' (do not know how to spell his name).
Supervisor Eddie, Lay San and Su Ling.
We trainee, Ah Min, Seik Yi, Bie Bie and me with Miss Phang and Ah Lye. These people always make me laugh in the lab, I miss the laughter now. Too bad there were no time for me to go Industrial Lab to take photos with chemists, and here are some of the photos only. I might get some new photos when I back to this company next week? Say bye bye and that is really come to an end now.

The last dinner

So, we trainees had a great farewell dinner with our supervisors and colleagues at Ah Hao Seafood Restaurant, Bukit Tambun. Theme of the day was Red vs Blue, it was hard for me to find a piece of red shirt in my wardrobe, the piece I was wore on the night was not mine, it seemed weird on me. Laugh out loud. This would be the last dinner for us, unless we could plan and have another one.

Plate of peanut was served once we reached the place, waiting for our dishes; dishes were too much, and we couldn't finished all of it.
Spot the guy in black shirt? He is the salesman from KL branch, came here for their Friday meeting, and joined us for the dinner. I love my colleagues here, they are nice and friendly; so do my supervisor. Laugh.

Back to 70's century

Bon Odori falled on the same day too, but I went to have a great dinner instead of going there; sorry for didn't met up my colleagues there, they were heading back to home when I just wanted to rush there. Dined at Little Cottage at Burma Road, they have another branch nearby my secondary school where I went there before with my ZooIsCute's buddies. The flowery wall paper make the shop looks vintage and the ambiance is so comfy with the songs they play. A good place if you feel to have a lazy feel and ease dinner.

Mushroom soup.
Baked bread with butter; the butter can melt easily when you placed it in the bread.
Creamy spaghetti.
Mushroom chicken, and this is just so-so; we sat near the window that makes me feel like I were in France.
The Beatles in Hard Rock Hotel.

Had a night stroll at the Hotel, seeing beautiful treasures that they display at the lobby; feel to immerse myself in this wonderful night and hoped that Sunday never comes. I love my day, the day full with old style life and vintage goods.

Italy, dream of us.

When there's a Moon and Tree

The reason that I love my cosy hometown that much is because it always bring out the tinge of heritage, arts and crafts, of course I also like the people around the places. Started off my day accompanied my mummy to wet market to get some pieces of daily-things, and I realized that I had such a long time didn't step my feet into crowdy market in a beautiful morning like this.
With my curiosity, I went to MoonTree47 afterwards; ever heard about this place? A place that set up by three friends which own different dream, when the chance crossed by, they mass their dream together and that's how this shop was born with a concept of: homestay, cafe and art gallery. I'll let my photos do the talking, showing how I spent my noon time at this lovely cafe.

The design is more to old concept, showing the romantic and old feel of Penang island, and they used recycle things in their little sanctuary. Through the patio, you can peep the beautiful sky and cloud, enjoy a cuppa of drink will be a good relaxation for you.
You'll see little wooden adornment like windmill, birdy, flowers... lay in many hidden places, mostly in the pots.
Each table have their own design for you to choose, to suit your mood of the day; and these pillows make me think of Delicious.
Favourite photo for the day, I see 60-70 century from this view; it will be better if the umbrella change to the paper one.
Cheese Omelette with breads, oranges and banana; pieces of tomatoes are cook together with the eggs.
French toast filling with bananas between two slides of wholemeal bread, topped with butter and honey.
Scrabble! Had fun with it to kill my time there, lots of games are also provided, our old-time game.
The couple that I couldn't kept my eyes off them, I drowning in the romantic environment because of the rhythm he played.
Meet Marilyn Monroe, the picture; as I said, they used recycle thing to make thing special.

Remember when we were still kids, the owner of the grocery shop kept their money in the milk powder tin, hanging on the roof, and pull down with the help of a wheel? Gotcha! They have the same thing too, so old-style. If you read until here, I want to thank you for your patient as too many words and photos I shared here. Yet, the story haven't end here, I want to talk about why they named it as MoonTree47. This lovely cafe is located at the Jalan Muntri, so they used the partial tone of it to make it into Moon Tree, and 47 is the shop number; simple but cool. I wish to stop at this place again, how about you?

It all ends

Had been followed this movie like years ago when I was still in secondary school, it's time that it comes to an end now. The last part of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is up and I watched it as soon as they released on the cinema. No more Harry Potter after since I guess, a collection of it in my house seems like a treasure for me, priceless.

. . . . . . . . . .

But were all too scared to say the things worth saying.

What to do to kill time?

Appreciate the day where I can woke up late, and hope that Monday never reach me. Skip my day-dream, and I went out for a walk.
Brought a little pink with me, so girlish.
Finally, another time for this curry puff at Chai Leng Park, Butterworth before we went to Pacific. Just a simple walk to kill time.

Speechless.

Little Indian in me

Today was the last day for Teeba's internship, we had a farewell lunch with her at a Indian restaurant, 'A' Curries nearby our company at Jalan Chain Ferry, Prai. Our supervisor didn't came along with us as he claimed that he don't like to eat Indian food. Oops. We did reservation and order first before we went there, too many people were going, while we just have one hour break.
Get to see a pot of flowers putting in front of the restaurant, they are believe to chase off the back luck.
Same like the Passions of Kerala, I order the individual set meal with a plate of curry fish, the only thing that differ is they have only 3 vegetables on the banana leaves; veges and rice on the top of banana leaves are free to refill. I was the only one who ordered the Mango Lassi; already used to have it whenever I go to an Indian restaurant.
Took a group photo at the main office, and we say farewell to her. If by chance, we will meet again. Smile.

Never ever compare me with others.

Add a one for you

This Thursday should be a public holiday for Penangite, but not me, I was still needed to wake up earlier and go to work. Pathetic. Great dinner afterwards with my family at Japin again; I could only joined them after I finished my work, I miss out the shopping session with them. Seeing those beautiful things can always make me feel better, that's make me like to have some walk in the mall.
The interior, sharp orange.
Bought my sister a cake, White Chocolate Macadamia, wishing her a happy 25th birthday. I can get ang pao from her soon. Laugh.

. . . . . . . . . .

Again, I prove myself right.

A surprise for her

Rushed back to my home after work just to get a bath before hang out with friends. Tried out a new restaurant located at Gurney Drive, just besides the Coffee Island, that's the place we had our dinner - Crepe Cottage; I never realize its existence.
I like the way they decorate their little restaurant, simple natural elements that bring out their speciality. Maybe they couldn't compete with those classy restaurant, but it's a great place to have some trifle with bunch of people; I had a great chit-chat with friends too.
It's a coincidence that all of us are mango lover, and we had this Mango Cup as our dessert; hard to describe its heavenly taste with words, you should try it your own. You can have a peek on my album to view more food photos.
People of the day. We helped Hooi Sim to have a pre-celebration of her birthday, she had no idea that we gonna make it this way; she was thought that we were just having a simple gathering before she went off to study again. Hope that you like it. Bear hug.
Green Tea Cheese cake from us, and the free ice cream pancake from Crepe Cottage.

. . . . . . . . . .

You didn't tell me a thing.

Peek-a-boo

Celebrated colleague's birthday, simply to have our lunch together and of course, one thing that cannot be absence during the big day - cake. It was been awhile since my last to have the fingers licking good KFC, finished it in half hour. Awesome.

Walk-in the story of Peanuts

Walking on the street after the rain was good, no heaty weather surrounded us, good evening I should say. Went to Straits Quay again this time, like this lovely place more and more now, although not much storefronts are open there; I just simply like the feel it gave me.
This sign board caught my eyes when I saw it,  also the striking red bike. Had I told you before that Straits Quay is transformed into a haven of shopping bliss for arts, crafts, fashion and etc. The very first Saturday and Sunday of the month, they will have the Weekend Market; Flea Market for the last Saturday of every month. It's like a heaven for me seeing all the beautiful things around me, too bad I couldn't bring all of them back to be my dotey. I tried hard to hold my shopping lust, just grabbed myself one useful item.
Got ourselves some refreshment after the walk, here comes our German Cheese Cake which cost us RM16; it's only a small little one, but the waitress called us to enjoy it slowly, bite by bite, because it is made up from 3 layers of different cheeses. Peep the Charlie Brown? Yes, I were in Charlie Brown Cafe for my high-tea session before the dinner, the dreamland of every kiddo.
My Hot Chocolate with the Snoopy on the top.
Meet his friend, Lucy; Hot Coffee Latte.
You'll get to see bronzy statue of the Peanuts' characters in the cafe; a very neat boondoggle they have. Me with Snoopy at the right.
